Hakubai Restaurant at the Kitano Hotel in New York City is adding a special pairing dinner to their menu for Japanese Restaurant week from March 4-18th. Enjoy five delicious courses of top tier Kaiseki food paired beautifully with different Hakkaisan sakes.

The dinner consists of five delicious kaiseki courses:

Amuse Bouche

  • Green Pea Tofu with Salmon Roe and Wasabi
  • Rape blossoms Marinated in Mustard & Miso
  • Simmered Bamboo Shoots with Dried Bonito
  • Simmered Duck Breast

First Appetizer

  • Steamed Egg Custard with Crab Meat and Brown Rice Mochi

Second Appetizer

  • Assorted Sashimi of the Day

Third Appetizer

  • Deep-Fried Hard-Shell Crabs

    (Crab Meat, Fish Cake and Onion)


  • Chirashi Sushi (Eel, Shrimp and Thinly Sliced Omelet)
  • Akadashi Miso-Soup
